SUMMARY: In this episode we talk with Dr. Jon A. Krosnick from Stanford University about how we can make elections fairer.

How can we make elections fair? What impacts voter turnout? How do issue publics - communities that have an issue that is extremely important to them at a personal level - form and grow? What influences attitudes about issues and candidates and what factors might change attitudes?

In this episode we talk with Dr. Jon A. Krosnick, a social psychologist who does research on attitude formation, change, and effects, on the psychology of political behavior, and on survey research methods. He is the Frederic O. Glover Professor in Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor of Communication, Political Science, and (by courtesy) Psychology at Stanford University. In addition to his professorships, he directs the Political Psychology Research Group and the Summer Institute in Political Psychology.
